When creating issues from an Epic, labels aren't inherited

Expected:

Our Epics all have labels. When creating issues (like stories) as a child of the epic, those labels are not inherited. This should be a flag that Jira admin can set to turn on/off inherited fields, in this case labels.

Actual:

We have to manually retype labels into the label field even for inherited issues.

Workaround

Use Automation to copy the labels from the Epic. Example here. As with all Automation rules, be aware of your Automation service limits
