Pasting colon from any source into comments field causes comment to fail to be added - new issue view

Summary

When pasting text from any source into the comment field on the new issue view that contains a colon, the comment fails to be added. This even includes copy pasting from within the same issue.

Environment

Cloud - New Issue View

Steps to Reproduce

Within Jira:

1. Create a comment within an Issue on Jira (using new issue view).
2. Copy this comment including the colon.
3. Paste the comment.

External source for text:

1. Copy text including a comment from gmail or word for example.
2. Paste this into comment in Jira new issue view

Expected Results

Comment should appear as expected including the colon

Actual Results

No exception found at this time in logs, will update if I find one.

Workaround

1. Disable the new issue view
2. Manually type the colon (intermittent success, worked for me but not for customer)
