Summary
New issue view for Jira Software Cloud cannot display messages containing quoted thumbnails
Steps to Reproduce
- Turn off the new issue view in your personal settings
- Find a Jira Software issue with an existing image attachment
- Comment to that Jira issue with a content of
{quote} !filename.png|thumbnail! {quote}
- Confirm image appears in the comment as a quoted message
- return to your personal settings/profile and re-enable the new issue view
- refresh the Jira issue
Expected Results
Comment shows up as expected, with quoted text that contains an image/thumbnail
Actual Results
Comment does not show any content at all, including missing unquoted text.
When looking that the browser console you can see an error of:

Notes
Only appears to affect Jira Software projects, this does not appear to happen for Jira Core projects.
Workaround
Disabling the new issue view in your Personal settings can prevent this display problem for the time being.
