When using the new issue view wiki renderer and using the special character ^ the resulting email notification will display this as :

Steps to Reproduce
#Make sure you are in the notification scheme for the so what you will get an email for an update to description
#Add the ^ character to the description field
#Save

Email notification should just show ^
