Summary

• Trying to import a Trello board to a Jira site with Jira SW product activated is interrupted with an IllegalStateException error thrown.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Search for a Trello board that has at least one card mapped to a different member rather than the admin.
2. On your Jira site ensure that you have Jira software (not only Jira Core) > go to External System Import > Trello importer.

Expected Results

• Trello board is imported successfully to a Jira project.

Actual Results

• The import process is interrupted with the following error: Unexpected failure occurred. Importer will stop immediately. Data may be in an unstable state: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Project configuration id does not match project roles configuration id: Project configuration id does not match project roles configuration id

Notes

• This only affects cloud sites that has Jira software activated since the import will be to an Agility project.
• When trying to reproduce this behavior, ensure to map the Trello card to a different user who is not the admin. 

Workaround

• Import the board to a test site that has only Jira core activated then csv export to the Jira production site.
