Improve the Pages functionality to enable connection to external Confluence instances

      Problem Definition

      The Pages feature in Jira allows the connection to Confluence spaces to certain projects, however, there are some limitations.
      It's not possible to connect to a Confluence space from a different instance, either from another Cloud instance or from Server.

      Suggested Solution

      Improve the Pages functionality in order to be able to connect to external Confluence instances.

      Why this is important

      This would allow more flexibility on the functionality, as some customers have Confluence on a separate instance.

      Workaround

      None.

            After some analysis, we've found that this ticket is a duplicate of the request JRACLOUD-69045 – JIRA pages link does not work if you have a separate/remote confluence domain which has more votes.
