    Description

      Summary

When a project has 2 workflows associated to different issue types, Workflow A associated to Issue type A, and Workflow B associated to Issue type B. It is not possible not edit the issue type from A to B, the only way to do it is by Moving the issue. However, this can be overwritten by using CSV import, to update the issue type, and will break the workflow(Can't transition issue).

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Have 2 workflows in a project.
      2. Associate Issue type A to Workflow A and associate Issue type B to Workflow B
      3. Create an issue, with Issue Type A
      4. Use CSV Import to change the issue type to Issue Type B.
      5. This issue can't transition anymore.

      Expected Results

      • The CSV importer should validate the workflow and prompt users to update the status

      Actual Results

      • The CSV Importer will update the issue and break the workflow, preventing users from transitioning this issue.

      Workaround

      • Use CSV import to revert the issue type, and use the Move option to properly move the issue to the desired issue type.

      Additional Note

This bug is only affecting issues that are not using Simplified workflow.
