Custom field event notification

Currently in Jira, to receive a notification of a change in a custom field you need to set the issue updated notification. However, this will trigger notifications on any updates upon the issue.

It would be useful if Jira had a custom field notification level, to be able to set notifications for custom field edits or stop notifications from custom field.
