Description
Currently, the process to send a workflow from one instance to another is to:
- Export a workflow as .jwb
- Upload the exported workflow to Atlassian Marketplace)
- Import workflow from the marketplace
This is quite overwhelming, mainly when you're moving from an instance with a substantial amount of workflows.
Suggestion
Allow users to (single file or bulk) import workflows directly into the instance without first uploading it to the marketplace.
Workaround
Use the Cloud-to-cloud migration tool
- Create a new company-managed project
- Associate any existing workflow you wish to export with this new project
- Go to <your site name>.atlassian.net/jira/settings/system/migration/dashboard and migrate the single project
See the article What migrates in a cloud-to-cloud migration for Jira for more information
