Summary
Email addresses granted with Confluence only access cannot create an issue via Email to JIRA on the same Atlassian cloud instance.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an incoming mail handler in JIRA.
- Set the mail handler to create issue to a project with a default reporter.
- Add a user to the cloud instance and grant the Confluence application access.
- Using the same users email address, send an email to the email address configured for the mail handler in JIRA
Expected Results
JIRA Issue should be created by the default reporter on behalf of the user.
Actual Results
JIRA Issue cannot be created.
Notes
Testing the mail handler will give a message :
Sorry, you can't create any issues right now, as you need to have access to a Jira application to be able to create issues. To gain application access you need to be a member of a group assigned to an application
