Summary

User has multiple statuses with the % character in the name. Creating a standard JQL query you can search for these without issue.

However, when using the gadget Filter Count and you add counts/columns for statuses with % symbol, when you click on the figure in the gadget to display the search you receive a blank page with a search box and that is it, no menus.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create status with a % symbol in the name and assign to workflow
2. Add Count Filter gadget to dashboard
3. Select a search query and add counts for statuses with a percentage (%) in the name
4. Click on a count relating to a status with a percentage (%) symbol
5. You are taken to a broken search page with no issues or menus

Expected Results

Clicking on the count should display an advanced search query with the issues that match the query

Actual Results

When you click on the figure in the gadget to display the search for status with a (%) character you receive a blank page with a search box and that is it, no menus.

Also, a server error when you click on the top right ellipses.

Jira server could not be contacted. This may be a temporary glitch or the server is down.

Notes

• Performing a standard JQL search for statuses with % symbol works as expected, it is the data that is passed by the gadget that throws this error
• Similar error is shown when the character break has an ampersand sign(&) in it, instead of % symbol.
