Ability to change a custom field type from "Select List (single choice)" to "Select List (multiple choices)"

Problem:

After creating a custom field as "Select List (single choice)", you can't change it to "Select List (multiple choices)"

Suggestion:

Being similar, there should be an option to transform one type to another, as your needs might change, without having to create a new custom field and set it up from scratch.
