Bullet Point styling broken in new JIRA UI

      Summary

The new JIRA look-and-feel has a problem with CSS styling for bullet points (UL/LI elements), which is problematic for us because our issue description authoring standards rely on bullet points, often having hundreds of bullet items per issue

      Environment

      • New JIRA experience (ADG3)

      Steps to Reproduce

      • create a JIRA issue with nested bullet points in the description
      • using browser developer tools, turn off the two style rules in the CSS snippet above
      • enable those style rules

      Expected Results

      • List items properly.

      Actual Results

      • Bullets breaking.

      Notes

      • The new UI uses 40px left margins for each UL level, which significantly reduces the amount of content that will fit on one line, making every issue longer to read and requiring more scrolling.
      • Different bullet point levels no longer have unique icons (filled circle for first level, hollow circle for next level, filled square for next level, etc.) which makes it harder to differentiate different levels of bullet points.
