The NEW JIRA Experience does not have support for sample projects

      Problem Definition

      The ability to create projects with sample data has been lost in the new JIRA Experience.
      It's not possible to select this type of project anymore in the templates section.

      Suggested Solution

      Provide the ability to create this type of project for the end user.

      Workaround

      For now, users can try to revert back to the old UI and create sample projects.
