Description
Summary
Rearrange gadgets or change dashboard layout is failing if the dashboard has either Service Desk gadgets and the dashboard owner is not an agent, or just any broken Jira gadget.
Steps to Reproduce
- Add Service Desk gadget to dashboard
- Remove the Service Desk permission from the dashboard owner
Expected Results
The gadget is shown on UI informing the user doesn't have Service Desk permission.
Actual Results
Sorry, your changes to this dashboard could not be saved. Your dashboard may be out of sync with the server: please reload the page.
Workaround
Depending on the root-cause, either:
- Grant Service Desk permission to the owner of the dashboard. Once the dashboard is updated, the permission can be revoked.
- Remove the broken gadget (this is not always possible since the broken gadget may be not displaying on the dashboard and can only be removed from DB. In this case contact Atlassian Support by logging a support request in support.atlassian.com
