Similar to what would be a burn-up chart, it would be valuable to be able to configure the cumulative flow diagram to show each status overlaped instead of stacked. 

 

So for any given period of time we could compare how far is testing from development. 

In such way, the progress of every stage of the workflow is shown perfectly clean without being distorted by previous stage.
