Restoring JIRA Cloud backup to Cloud instance occasionally throws error This archive doesn't contains any valid attachments.

Summary

While importing a zipped backup using Restoring a JIRA Cloud Backup procedures, the system will complain that it does not contain any valid attachments.

Environment

JIRA Cloud 6.4.*

Steps to Reproduce

1. Backup instance using Exporting issues procedure.
2. Import on Cloud using the Restoring a JIRA Cloud Backup procedure, ensuring the attachments are listed correctly as mentioned on the article.
3. Instance complains, saying "This archive doesn't contains any valid attachments."

Expected Results

Import should be successful.

Actual Results

Instance will throw error from above. If there is a problem, it should say "This archive doesn't contain any valid attachments."

Notes

I was not able to replicate this 100% of the time. It seems to be with certain backups, but I am not able to determine the difference between a working one. It might have been related to which instance the backup originates.

Solution / Workaround

The support engineer can export the attachments manually to the server.
