Description
Summary
When a customer using a screen reader (such as JAWS, iOS/MacOS VoiceOver, or NVDA), the reader is no longer able to read items from the page.
Environment
JIRA 1000.98.4 (not listed yet in Affects Version/s, not able to submit)
Steps to Reproduce
- Turn on VoiceOver utility on MacOS or iOS (or if you have one installed, use that). Adjust the settings to your liking.
- Navigate to a JIRA issue, select some text on the page, and have VoiceOver read it.
- Click Edit, make a change on the page, submit it.
- Now try to select text again, and you'll find it is not able to read the item.
- Click refresh, and you will be able to read from the page again.
Expected Results
Screen readers should always be able to read text on the page.
Actual Results
Screen reader cannot read once edit button has been submitted
Notes
Potentially a duplicate of JRA-60491 but with extended results. This is more specific to POST-editing and not during the process.
Workaround
Refresh the page to be able to read once an edit is submitted.
