      Atlassian Update: 14th July 2016

      Hi everyone,

Thank you for your collective contribution to this ticket over the past 2 days. We have worked diligently to identify and resolve the root cause of this issue since late Tuesday.

We have pushed out a new version of JIRA that contains a fix for this problem and should allow your team to continue working as normal.

On the way, we have identified there are two steps required in order to resolve this issue.

      1. Ensure you are on the latest version of JIRA, 1000.148.3 or above (if you wish to be upgrades sooner, please contact support.)
      2. After you’re on the latest version of JIRA, clear Zephyr’s cache by following the steps below:
        1. Manage Add-on
        2. General Config (Under ZEPHYR section)
        3. Clearing Server Cache.

If you still experience this issue after following these steps, please contact Zephyr directly through their support.

      Kind Regards,
      Kerrod Williams

      Status Update from 2016-07-13 05:56 p.m. GMT 00:00

Atlassian has identified the root cause of the problem - it's related to the undesired changes to the results of some REST API calls. For example a call to the issue's status will not longer return a description field in case if the status description is empty. Our development team has already implemented the code fix, and it's now rolling to all customers. A new version will be released during the next maintenance window for every customer, so all customers should get the fix in next 24 hours.

In case you can't wait till the next maintenance window for your instance please submit a case to our Support team so they plan updating your instance ahead of schedule. This action may result in JIRA unavailability for a few minutes.

      Summary

When adding a test case to a Zephyr Test cycle error "You do not have permission to see the specified issue" is thrown.

      Additional notes:

When viewing the Test Summary pages of specific projects, the page is completely blank and the following error appears in javascript console:

      jquery.min.js:2 GET https://prod-play.zephyr4jiracloud.com/connect/summaryWithNoToken?projectId=10501&_=1468351986194 500 (Internal Server Error)

      Environment

1000.148.2. (Issue is not reproducible in previous version 1000.141.2)

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. In the issue screen add an issue to a test cycle
      2. Access the test cycle after adding it
      3. Error "You do not have permission to see the specified issue" is thrown in the test cycle and the test issue details are not shown.

      Expected Results

The issue should show in the test cycle.

      Actual Results

No errors are found in the logs.

      Workaround

Suggested workaround is to add a description to all Issue Constant fields (status, issueType, priority, resolution) that do not already have one.
