Unable to render embedded image with JIRA issue ID in the file name

      Summary

      When embedding an image in a JIRA comment that has a JIRA issue ID in the name, JIRA renders the issue ID as a issue link and thus is unable to render the embedded image.

      Environment

      JIRA v1000.5.1

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create an issue
      2. Attach an image to the issue making sure that the name you give the image has a JIRA issue ID in it
      3. Attempt to embed the image in a new comment on the ticket

      Expected Results

      The image should be rendered as normal

      Actual Results

      JIRA renders the issue ID as a JIRA issue link and displays the error

      Unable to render embedded object: File not found.

      Workaround

      Users will need to rename their images.
