            [JRACLOUD-63888] Currency custom field

This has been requested by our business team and is a very important feature to a department that often needs to worry about money. We've been able to somewhat get around this using field validation in ProForma (Forms), but having a field to store currency and that could even be used for calculations would be so helpful.

Really important feature for business applications. Techies can cope with this but business units, not so much.

I would really like this feature. The currency field should keep the decimals and optionally use a dot or comma as a thousand separator. And make sure alignment is to the right so amounts are visually already comparable.

We just purchased additional Service Management Licenses to add our Financial team to a "Finance" SM project.

Not having a custom field type of "Currency" is a serious problem and amounts to false advertising. What do the Jira Project Management folks think that a "Finance" project is dealing with??? You have to get this done ASAP or stop advertising the misleading "Finance" Template in the Jira Service Management.

Hello, I had to add custom number fields for a client that want to show savings etc. in their project.  By default it have the value with 2 decimals, but it avoids zero values to display if zero is at the end of the value.

            Examples:

            256,322.00 shows 256,322

            123,456.78 shows correct

            456.50 shows 456.5

It is avoiding zero to display because the values are the same according to the system when it shows 256,322.00 vs 256,322

We are still on the data centre version.  Is this maybe also included in this ticket?

But, how can we record different expenses at different times in the same Jira request? Just as we do in Jira Server with Tempo...

We need to register expenses in Jira SW cloud issues as we do in Jira Server.

Will this feature be available soon?

Don't understand why this isn't built in. Please add.
