Problem Definition

Customers would like the ability within the Issue Navigator of JIRA to display the timestamp for date fields such as Created date.   Natively there is not a supported way to accomplish this within JIRA.  However there was a KB article created over at Showing Extended Timestamp in the Created Column of the Issue Navigator, that explained a means to customize the file 'date-columnview.vm' directly to accomplish this.

The problem now is that those instructions no longer valid to JIRA 7.x versions.   Those instructions only appear to work for JIRA 6.4.x and before.  Presumably the code changes in JIRA 7 altered the way in which these .vm files are used to render the issue navigator results page.

Suggested Solution

Allow JIRA administrators to customize the view of this issue navigator to include timestamps
OR
Provide an alternative work-around that might explain how this could be customized on a JIRA 7.x platform.
