      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Currently, searching for a project, effects the "Current Project" selected in the Projects Menu. This state should be accessible in a JQL function.

      This feature is probably particularly needed for advanced searches that are not supported in basic mode.

      The use case is you have multiple saved filters/searches that give you different perspectives into a project. We make good use of the projectsLeadByUser() function, but it would be nicer to be able to focus on a single project.
