Summary
Attaching images using CTRL + V does not consistently bring up the Attach Screenshot popup dialogue to allow upload.
Environment
- Windows OS
- Safari OS
- Firefox - Inconsistent
- Chrome - Inconsistent
- IE 11 - Inconsistent
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to an Issue
- Copy an image to your clipboard
- Click on JIRA to bring the page in focus
- Use CTRL+ V to attach image
- If the Attach ScreenShot dialogue pops, click Cancel and repeat step 4
- If no dialogue box appears repeat step 4 (In Firefox and IE, this may take 15+ pastes)
Expected Results
On first CTRL+V the Attach ScreenShot dialogue should appear and the copied image will be shown in the dialogue
Actual Results
Attach ScreenShot Dialogue randomly appears, if it appears at all. The following error message can be found in the Network Profiler
SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected end of data at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data
Workaround
Attach Image by either the Drag and Drop method or by clicking More > Attach File
