      Hi all,

      Thank you for raising and voting on this suggestion. Your feedback is invaluable in shaping and enhancing Jira for all users.

      Whilst we are not actively considering this idea, we understand the need for this, and are keen to engage with you to better understand the needs of bulk deleting issue type schemes.

      We do however have an option for Enterprise-tier customers to bulk delete custom fields, with Site Optimiser.
      Site Optimiser can:

      • Clean up unused custom fields
      • Archive old issues in bulk
      • Remove unused project role permissions

      Problem Definition

      It is troublesome to manually delete issue type schemes that are not associated to any project one by one especially if you have a huge instance that has a lot of issue type schemes.

      Suggested Solution

      Allow a functionality in the UI that lets users bulk delete the unused issue type schemes.

      Workaround

      You can follow the workaround method in this KB: How to delete issue type schemes that are not associated with any projects from the database which involves database manipulation. This is not possible for Cloud instances.

      Use the experimental Delete issue type scheme endpoint.
