NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem Definition

Due to changes made to Gadget rendering implementation since JIRA 7.1 (https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-59892). Users terminating SSL on Apache with a self-signed certificate would now need to import the certificate into Tomcat as well, so that java trusts it.

      Suggested Solution

Add a section for self-signed certificate configuration, that includes importing the certificates into tomcat/Java trust-stores as explained in https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/KB/Unable+to+Connect+to+SSL+Services+due+to+PKIX+Path+Building+Failed
