Handling of Resolved issues under a custom workflow

      I have stumbled upon a problem in customizing the workflow in JIRA.

      The workflow that we would like to implement will following throught he following steps:
      Raised
      Assessed
      Open / In Progress
      Resolved
      Pending QA
      Pending UAT
      Closed

      For more details about the workflow refer to the attached graphic image.

      The problem is that once issues have been resolved and a resolution entered by the developer (step 4), JIRA will treat the issue as not open. It disappers from the "Open Isues" summary on the project screen and the issue will display as green in the progress status bar of the Roadmap. I assume this is because the issue has had a resilution entered.

      There are a number of ways JIRA could be improbved to cater for this. One possibility is to specify whether the step is Open or Closed when setting up the workflow. This would mean that the current default JIRA workflow will behave as it currently does.
