      Problem Definition

      Current behavior for setting the new status, while performing a Issue Move as described in:

      Is that the default value is set to a default status such as To Do based on available fields, and must be manually edited.

      As an admin I would like to be able to define the default value of for new status while moving an issue between projects to another Default status or a custom status, to reduce the number of clicks necessary to complete the action.

            After some analysis, we've found that this ticket is a duplicate of the request JRACLOUD-5159 – Allow Admin to force set target status for all 'Move Issue' operations / ability to set a default status which has more votes.

            When moving an issue from one issue type to another where both issue types use the status of "Waiting for Support", the move wizard finds the match for the status and does not prompt for a status selection. We would like to option to be able to set the status to a target status within the target workflow; i.e. "Waiting for Approval" which would kick off the approval notifications and ensure our agents don't pull an item that has not yet been approved.
