We have internal file servers (ftp://, smb://, etc.), as well as custom web-based applications (Seapine Test Track, for example, using ttstudio:// formatting) which have web integration using various URI schemes.

We would like to be able to link JIRA issues to these other applications and services using custom web links (which works fine using HTML macros in Confluence, for example.) But the Link validation script only appears to accept http and https. Likewise, the rich formatting in JIRA issues only seems to recognize certain schemes. (See links above.)

Can this be modified somehow?
