      Since the move to new project types in JIRA 7.0, it's not possible anymore to create projects using JIRA's classic default workflow and issue type schemes.

      The classic workflows are still present with no assigned project in a clean installation.

      Workaround

      If you currently have projects created using the "Classic Project" template, new projects can be created using a shared configuration in JIRA 7.0. This will use the workflow and issue type scheme, besides any other configuration, from an existing project.
