Feature Summary
As a user or JIRA Admin, there are scenarios where one user in particular is not interested in getting notified from JIRA on issue changes.
In such scenarios, JIRA requires that users be removed from groups that relate to the notification they do not have.
Expected Result
Customer would like to be able to tick an option in user management or configure from user profile to opt out of all notifications.
Actual Result
The Admin would need to remove the user from all groups and users associated with receiving various notifications.
- This is made more difficult if you try to remove users for a notification associated with group reporter or something similar.
Workaround
- Change the user's email address to a non valid email address.
This however would prevent the user from getting all notifications and also prevent them from getting notification should they forget their password.
