Error when clicking on "Assignee" drop-down

      NOTE: This bug report is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding bug report.

      Some users are being affected by bug when clicking on Assign Issue.

      Error Message

      "The JIRA server was contacted but has returned an error response. We are unsure of the result of this operation."

      Workaround

      Click on "OK" and manually insert the assignee name.
