Resolution: Won't Fix

None
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
During/After an upgrade from JIRA 5.x to JIRA 6.x, customers realize they cannot close issues despite having the close issue permission.
This is due to the introduction of the Transition Issue Permission and the fact that when an issue is closed, it has to move from the state it is in to the closed state.
Can this permission be added automatically during or after an upgrade such as this going forward by updating the data in the database or can a notification of such changes and dependencies be announced after such an update instructing users about the change and informing them to add such permissions.
