      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Although the JIRA core source is available to customers, the source for some system (bundled) plugins aren't. This can cause some issues with customers. For instance, if a customer used to customize the "project config" section of the source, he won't be able to in newer versions, where this is brought as a bundled system plugin (jira-project-config-plugin-7.0.26.jar).
