Resolution: Fixed
NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.
Currently on the documentation of "Connecting JIRA to SQL Server 2012", we have mentioned that:
Collation type must be case-insensitive, accent-insensitive, and language neutral for example, 'SQL_Latin1_General_CP437_CI_AI' is a case-insensitive, accent-insensitive, and language neutral collation type.
As there is some cases that the user instance is unable to process some characters or collation that is stored on JIRA, rather than mentioning only it have to be case-insensitive, accent-insensitive, and language neutral, it would be great that we also include like "the recommended collation is 'SQL_Latin1_General_CP437_CI_AI'" or The list of Collations that is compatible with UTF-8. This could help users that having doubt on selecting the collation and will also help direct them to use that collation type.
