      In this document, this is all that is said about GitHub:

      "GitHub
      You can configure the DVCS Connector plugin in JIRA in order to see branch, commits and pull request information in the Development panel of a JIRA issue."

      It states that the connector can see a branch. However, it should be made more clear that the DVCS Connector for GitHub does not have the ability create branches. By omission, it essentially says this, but the document should be explicit. The ability to create branches exists within Atlassian products only, and not with a connection to GitHub.
