NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

It would be great if we can have a gadget in JIRA to create a custom list of our favorites URLs (from different Atlassian applications).
Today we can achieve a similar result using the text gadget, however it's not the best solution. In our customer's words (regarding the text gadget):

      • Opening up a security hole to allow for this is overkill
      • I wouldn't expect most of our users to know how to format the HTML for a list of links

I'd like to be able to add "internal" links to a dashboard, there's the projects gadget, but I'd like to be able to link to another dashboard. There's no way to have a specific list of filters either, only the current user's starred filters, or to Confluence pages.

Would love this especially since we on Cloud can't use the Text gadget workaround.

I understand that the problem with the Text gadget is that it supports arbitrary HTML. Perhaps you could make another form of that gadget that used a text editor like this one, which supports links.

Please also consider creating this for your JIRA cloud customers. There must be some way to address the security concerns and still enable the core functionality (e.g., only enable links within a few specified domains).

Would be very helpful to have this added to JIRA dashboard and I imagine many people would greatly benefit from this feature even if they are not in here voting or commenting.

A customisable homepage, along the lines of JIRA Service Desk interface would greatly enhance the user experience.
Presently, to create an issue, a user selects Create, then Project(drop down), then Issue type(drop down).
Ideally a large button for each Create issue type at top of a page would enable a user to 'jump' into that issue type. This could easily be created as a gadget 'CREATE ISSUE TYPE'. Although there is a links gadget, it's not customisable.

Other links from the page could 'jump' to agile boards, project admin pages, commonly referred to filters, system links such as reindexing which is a regular action for me - all links being customisable and triggered by selecting buttons/images - links to tempo etc.

Given that JIRA has invested a massive effort in recently repackaging the same product inro Core/Business etc, could you please assign a dev to work on this - it would actually make your demos much more appealing.

What's the status of this task? It's would be really helpful to have personalized links on the dashboard.
