It should be possible to configure what issues statuses Jira considers as "open".

      The project summary page includes a section listing the number of "open" issues for each priority and assignee. The issues that Jira consider "open" is currently hard-coded as those with a status of "Open", "Reopened" and "In Progress". I would like to include "Resolved" in this, but beyond editing the source code it is not currently possible to do this.

      With configurable workflow (JRA-2580) and the ability to create extra issues statuses, the configuration of what is considered "open" will become even more important.
