With the current default Excel file that you can get from an export (I download min. 3 different list a week), if you want to play with the data in Excel (i.e. via pivot table), you have to clearly specify the range of the pivot table.

The quick link (just selecting one cell and clicking on pivot table) doesn't work.

The automatic header and the automatic footer that are collated to the data prevent Excel from detecting correctly the headers of the column.

A very simple way to avoid this (that I do in my local instance) is to just add one empty line after the header, and one empty line before the footer.

Could you integrate this in the default template for the Excel export ?
