'mentioning' a user should display users in that project only

      It seems that the @username function when used within a description will allow a user to address only a user within that project but if used in a comment a user can address the comment to any user on any project.

      Surely the comments should work the same way as the description.

      It is a fairly major issue that users who are not on the same project can contact each other

            After some analysis, we've found that this ticket is a duplicate of the request ID-8129 – Ability to restrict what Projects, users or groups appear in @-mention results which has more votes.

            Same problem here and when you have given clients access to JIRA for their project, they really should not be able to see other clients on other projects. This improvement would be very much welcome.
