Customer Concern

Once a Space is created (using the Space Type selector), it isn't possible to change/update the Space type. This is necessary at times to ensure the Space can be updated to match the team requirements as these change. 

Suggested Solution

Implement an option to bring option to update the template of a Space once it has been created

Workaround

The workaround here is to create a new Space with the appropriate template, and bulk migrate work items over. This process is detailed here: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/convert-a-project-to-a-different-template-or-type/
