NOTE: This bug report is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding bug report.
Post Functions placed after the "Creates the issue originally." event will not persist in the database and this is not clarified or restricted within JIRA.
Steps to reproduce
- Copy the default JIRA workflow
- Add the "Update Issue Field" post function to the "Create Issue" transition
- Set the function to update any field (Description, Assignee, etc.) to a specific value
- Create the issue
Expected results
The issue is created with the assignee/description/whatever specified in the post function.
Actual results
The issue is created without the change that's specified in the post function.
I can replicate this on a fresh install of JIRA 6.0, as well as 6.0-OD-12 and -13.
