A lot of companies use id's and numbers as usernames in JIRA, so selecting and viewing users by username can be confusing. Therefore, it would be nice if the custom field displayed the Full Name rather than the username. Alternatively an option to choose between the two different modes.

Also, implementing the Auto Complete renderer for the custom fields as it is displayed in the Project Roles would solve this.
