Contact Administrators Form should allow configuration of recipients

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Problem Definition

Administrators in a Jira cloud site does not have a way to configure to whom the Contact Administrators Form will be sent.

      1. Try to turn on "Contact Administrators Form" through System > General configuration > Contact Administrators Form.
      2. If you don't have Jira Administrators global permission you will not receive the email when a user fill in the form.

      Suggested Solution

It would be helpful to be able to:
      1. Choose a separate list of recipients for the Contact Admin form as this will not always match the list of people with Jira Administrators global permission.
      2. Have this appear as an option in "Administration -> General Configuration -> Edit Configuration" near where you turn the form 'On'.

      Why this is important

      • Customize better Jira and arrange better the work among the administrators.
      • Chances that no-one will then action the request are high with the current default behavior.

      Workaround

      • Currently, there is no workaround.

[JRACLOUD-27454] Contact Administrators Form should allow configuration of recipients

As a Trusted User, I receive all the emails for everyone wanting user permission issues, yet I do not have any access to User profiles.

As a Trusted User (NOT a full admin) why do I get these emails from Jira when I do not have the permission to deal with them?

Surely the Contact Administrators form should not be going to Trusted Users - but only to admins?

We want the mail to go to a single mail box where our support staff can access it. If it goes to all administrators the following happens:

            1. Support staff does not get the email.
            2. With many Administrators none of them knows if one of the other administrators have already answered.

+1, we have a common Jira admins mailbox that would fit perfectly ; when it's sent to all admins we're never sure whether the request has been treated or not

So this ticket is created on 2012 (Created: 08/Mar/2012 10:43 PM) and after 4 years and a half is still Unassigned... not cool

+1 for -> This should be customizable to send to a specific email address. We want the mail to go to a single mailbox that can then be monitored by user support people. Sending an email to everyone is not ideal as the chances are no-one will then action the request, or multiple admins will attempt to action it at the same time.

Even better - it should trigger the creation of a JIRA task in a specified project so admins can setup a "user support" project or similar, assign out user requests and push through workflow.

I would like to be able to customize this form to instead of creating an email, post a new issue to our JIRA Administration Project

We also need this. I need the email to go to System Administrators, not Administrators.

            Thanks in advance.
