We need the ability to paste XHTML source from Confluence pages into the description and comments of JIRA issues.

This was easy before Confluence 4.0 because the source format used by both was Wiki markup. Since Confluence 4.0 the source format has changed to XHTML, but we cannot import XHTML into JIRA issue text fields. We are using the Arsenale Invisible Ink source editor in Confluence to access the XHTML.

An important feature of such a renderer is that it must also convert existing wiki markup text to XHTML in order to support all our issues that currently have wiki markup imported from Confluence pages. After thatn users can continue to work with XHTML exclusively.
