JQL Function executes even when validation fails!

      I have a plugin which has custom JQL Functions written. The issue is that even when the validation fails, the function is executed and it returns an error after finishing the getValues function.

      This is happening even though the MessageSet was populated after the validate method is executed.

      Can we fix this?
