Description
NOTE: This bug report is for JIRA Cloud. Using JIRA Server? See the corresponding bug report.
We have a long list of issues caused by the warning we give went a form is partially filled and you navigate away from the page without finishing.
There are three ways to fix this that I can see:
- Remove the dirty warnings javascript all together and rely on the browser to warn the user.
- Make the dirty form code selective in that you have a list of the forms it applies to.
- Make the dirty form code less picky eg. 3 form elements have changed or a text field has an additional 140 characters.
I kinda like the third option but initially want to investigate the best way to go forward.
