Description
Summary
Users with Administrators role in JIRA Project will not be able to see Project settings module without having JIRA Administrators permission from Global Permissions in JIRA.
Environment
- JIRA Cloud 1000.5.0
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a user and give them Administrators role in a test project. Ensure not to assign this user to groups that would put them in the JIRA Administrators permission according to current Global Permissions.
Expected Results
- Administrators of a project should be able to administer said projects' settings.
Actual Results
- Login as your test user, you will see that the Project settings module is missing:
- If you add the user to one of the groups listed for JIRA Administrators in Global Permissions, they will be able to see the option again.
Workaround
- Click on the project from the JIRA Administration menu on the top right.
- The list of projects that the user has the permission to will be displayed.
- Click on project and you'll be redirected to the Project Administration page.
Optional 2nd workaround: Can provide the accounts with JIRA administrators permission.
