      Definition

Currently when a version is released, there is no easy way to have users notified.

      Suggestion

Allow users to be notified on version releases. Ideally it would work as filter subscriptions.

          Form Name

[JRASERVER-46619] Mail notifications on version release

It would be usefull to be able to build a notification for any status change of the release.

More than that: the best would be adviced x days before release days.

JIRA provides a webhook for the version release event, so it should be fairly simple to set up a Zapier zap or IFTTT integration to send this email. That said, thanks for the feedback and we can look at supporting this.
