XML Restores from Cloud version 6.5-OD-05-041 to JIRA 6.4.6 Fails

Summary

Cloud backups from version 6.5-OD-05-041 will fail when restored to JIRA 6.4.6 with the following error.

Environment

This issue is experienced with JIRA 6.4.6 on any Supported Operating System.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Set up a JIRA 6.4.6 instance
2. Attempt to restore a backup generated from a cloud instance running version 6.5-OD-05-041

Expected Results

The Cloud Import should succeed as the installer reports compatibility with the following strange warning when trying to import:

The file you are trying to import is from JIRA 6.5-OD-05-041, which is newer than your current version of JIRA and will not work. The import file claims it can be successfully imported into JIRA 6.3.12 or later.

Actual Results

The Import fails with an error which can be observed in the atlassian-jira.log:

Workaround

Using an older version of JIRA, such as JIRA 6.4.5 which can be downloaded from the JIRA Downloads Archive will enable to you to workaround the issue.
